Mark your calendars, Regional ePermitting Training/User Conferences are coming this Fall and Spring!
Our first two conferences will be:
Nov. 13 - 14 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., hosted by the City of Happy Valley
Dec. 4 - 5 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., hosted by the City of Astoria
We will also schedule conferences in Eastern Oregon and Southern/Central Oregon this coming Spring.
Training and discussion topics include: “My Filters,” Creating Custom Filters locally, basic Ad-Hoc Reporting, processing Refunds and other Financial Transactions, Workflow, Advanced Tips and Tricks, and an open Question and Answer Session to get the answers you’ve always wanted to know.
For more information and how to register, visit the 'Conferences/training' page.
If your agency has a Jan. 1 fee increase, please send your new fees to the ePermitting team no later than Nov. 15 by sending an email to ePermitsHelp.BCD@oregon.gov. The ePermitting team now supports over 70 agencies and we need this much lead time to update each agency who will have new fees. Keep in mind that sending your new fee schedule to the Policy section of BCD for review is a separate process than sending your new fee schedule to ePermitting for updating in Accela. Please do not wait for your local approval process to submit your proposed changes to us. Often times this does not provide us enough time to complete and test this volume of change for all agencies requesting.
Thank you for your help with this!
OSM changes from last month
Most of you have probably experienced the "blank" dropdown menu issue when you go to result an inspection. You attempt to result an inspection, touch the "scheduled" status and then; poof! The underwhelming experience of not being able to choose a result for the inspection is frustrating at best, but never fear there is a way to fix it for good! This issue was created due to the wonderful work our e-permitting staff has been doing reducing, yes I said reducing, the amount of inspection results available for each permit. Working with our local partners we were able to identify and eliminate and/or combine inspection types to achieve more consistency across the state. Now that you know the backstory lets get right into the fix. Here are instructions for refreshing your System Data on the iPad or iPhone. Android users will follow the same steps.
The ePermitting Help Desk will be closed on the following upcoming dates:
Code edition updates Oct. 1
The code edition dropdowns for residential mechanical and commercial structural record types were updated Oct. 1, including defaulting those values to ‘2019’.
By default, inspection calendars block out the following dates for all agencies. If your agency deviates from this schedule, please email the help desk at ePermitsHelp.BCD@Oregon.gov to block out the appropriate dates. Please note that we need a two-week notice to effectively update a calendar and avoid any unwanted inspections to be scheduled.

Oregon Inspector App
We announced a new Oregon Inspector App coming soon. We are continuing to work with our app developer on this project but they have run into technical issues. We hope that this new app will be available for download by the end of the year. An announcement will be sent out as soon as it is ready to use. Stay tuned!
